SYS ADMIN
Your Role:
As SYS ADMIN (m/f), you will report to the CTO, and maintain responsibility over all aspects related to our company’s data center systems. You will handle deployment and maintenance of all software applications and hardware components, as well as provide technical support to the IT team, while ensuring 24/7 operations. Typical tasks will include: rapidly scaling systems to meet demand, assisting with desktop support, writing comprehensive documentation, providing software maintenance (e.g. updates, installation, security patches), maintaining system backup procedures, managing user accounts (e.g. creation, deletion, modification), configuring system and network parameters, monitoring system stability and performance, helping develop tools to monitor and maintain systems, and ensuring 24/7 operations.
Your Profile:
- Experience in managing enterprise-wide solutions in 24/7 environment
- Proficiency with switches, routers, firewalls, and other LAN/WAN equipment
- Experience with IT help desk management
- Expertise in Win2K, Tomcat/Apache, RDBMS
- 5+ years of Linux system administration experience
- Experience with desktop support, computer configuration, phones, user accounts
- Experience with highly available, 24/7 service-oriented data center
- Strong networking skills including DNS, network segmentation, firewalls, intrusion detection, and content-based load distribution
- Knowledge of monitoring components such as SNMP, SNMP traps, JMX
- Programming/scripting ability (bourne, bash, perl, python, C)
- High level of written and spoken English
The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science, has worked as a systems administrator at an IT services company over the last 5 years, and lives in Spain.
Salary:
Annual gross salary 18.000 EURO – 24.000 EURO (BT/Tech, CT/Tech, L/3)
